On a sunny summer day last month, my Sister married her South African beau in a rural idyll in North West Essex.
It was the most glorious happy day. After a traditional village church wedding service, the bells pealed out brightly and the happy couple were whisked away in a smart black London cab to a quintessentially English garden.
The wedding party enjoyed a hearty hog roast, fine wines, and danced the night away to live music inside a fabulous marquee.
The highlight was seeing my sister so content and natural in her exquisite lace dress, clutching an understated hand-tied bunch of flowers; her groom overwhelmed with the joy of the day, and the flower girls a gorgeous delight in floral dresses. The cake was divine in it’s country style simplicity, and the wedding party gifts were leather (naturally) and very well received. A perfect day for a perfect couple.
