At Top Drawer recently, we were approached by Nicola from Royal Trinity Hospice. She asked if we would donate seconds or deleted lines which they could then sell in one of their 26 charity shops. Once we heard about their fantastic work we were keen to support them. We boxed up a number of items to make a smart leather display. Here are a few pictures from the Chiswick and Pimlico stores.
Donations of this kind help to raise vital funds for Trinity so that they can continue to provide skilled, compassionate care, support and advice to patients, and those close to them. The aim is to help those in the community live life to the full, for whatever time is left.
At any one time, Trinity is caring for 700 people. Last year, Trinity cared for 2,500 people and their families. 80% of the people they support are cared for in their own homes, which is where most people prefer to be.
Royal Trinity Hospice receive just a quarter of their funding from the NHS, so rely on the generosity of donors and the local community to help raise the remaining £9million every year that is needed for their services to continue.
