At the beginning of May we opened our lovely new vintage shop.
The day went well with many people visiting, despite extremely changeable weather: icy hailstone storms, driving sideways rain, high winds and bright spring sunshine.
Our feature in Essex Life July issue summarises the day in the Essex Society pages.
Vintage decorative pieces for garden, home and gift were much admired and some one travelled purposively to buy a vintage animal she had spotted on Face book.
Our clearance leather trunks and boxes of all sizes proved popular.
The animal lamps proved a hit. Once customer naming her bunny Clara!
There was lots of Spring buying for the garden: glass bowls for entertaining, vintage planters dressed with spring pansies, floral picnic throws and big cushions were all snapped up.
Throughout the day we loved meeting a variety of interesting people - other retail business women, antique dealers, the Chrishall antique fair organiser as well as old and new customers.
